AirB&B is required to collect & pay taxes in SF. However, they are not required to divulge much else - like locations of the apts or names of owners. They previously argued that giving out names is a "privacy" issue. According to the local SF Chronicle, AirB&B "may" change their position on this - to perhaps show more cooperation so that more severe laws are not passed. BTW, AirB&B is a San Francisco based company.
