VOLARE AIRLINE SUSPENDED HELP~~

I'm very panic now because I've booked 2 flights with Volare. Is anyway I could check the updated news about them?

can I get back refund if they really go bankruptcy?

what are the options now if not flying with them, economically?

I'm flying off soon in Dec and Jan

Thank you so much for ya help

From where, to where? What is your total itinerary?

Cogent help requires complete information.

Best wishes,

Rex

I'm in the same situation. I have disputed with my credit card company based on advice here. I booked two flights with Volare for a total of $150 so I'm not overly concerned because it could have been worse. There are all types of risks when you book low-cost...and this is one of them.

In any event, I have rebooked my flights with Windjet (www.volawindjet.it).

Depending on where you are flying, other options are www.meridiana.it, www.alipeagles.com, and www.flyairone.it. I've heard rumors that some of these airlines want to pick up Volare's flights. However, if you wait for this to happen (if it even does), the flights with other companies become more expensive at the last minute.

Maybe this Ryanair news will help you, as they are trying to provide flights for Volare passengers.

http://www.ryanair.com/press/2004/no...en-251104.html

I'd also dispute the charge with your CC company.

For Rome to Barcelona, try http://www.vueling.com/ I checked and they have a flight on your dates.

HOWEVER, I have never used this airline so I cannot speak for their reliability.

For flights from Paris to Milan, www.easyjet.com and www.ryanair.com serve this route. Both of these airlines are reliable and doing very well. But play close attention to which airport in Paris they fly out of and which airport in Milan they arrive in.

Wow, did not hear about this WillTravel. Great news by Ryanair. If I were BigHead, I would definitely look to that option.

Unfortunately, the flights I booked myself were within Italy.

There's no special link, based on the information in that press release. You have to go through the steps of buying a ticket, and then you are supposed to be able to key your Volare code in somewhere (presumably before you make the final decision to buy, such a box will appear). However, if for some reason you can't make this work, and you see tickets in the 15 Euro range or whatever, I'd buy them anyway. Whether you get them "free" or not, you still have to pay the ticket taxes on the Ryanair ticket.

Good luck!
