Virgin Atlantic

Trying to decide whether or not to fly with them for my trip to Italy. I have heard some good reviews, but am a little worried about being cramped. It's going to be a long flight so I want to be comfortable. Is it as bad as some people say?

Thanks.

Italy? Virgin does not fly to Italy. You could fly USA to UK and then take Ryan Or Jet over to Italy though. Virgin is kid friendly if that is an issue otherwise there all the same in econ class if that is what you are referring to.

Calamari - Years ago(1999 I think) I flew Virgin Express from Brussels to Rome. Do they still exist?

Let me clarify, we will be taking Virgin Atlantic to London and then we will take another flight to Venice.

You know something...coach is coach. There was a time VS coach was better but the time has long past. Yes their planes all have the little screens and a variety of movies, but so do BA, UA, AA. Food? They use the same caterers. They have done little things to economize as have all airlines.

You will probably do fine on VS but would do the same on almost every other trans Atlantic carrier.

But one difference, which may or may not be important to you, VS still offers free booze while the American carriers now charge $4 a drink!

C'est la vie.
