Vinho verde winery tours
I’m having difficulty finding a day trip to a vinho verde winery in September. We’ll be staying in Porto and viana do Castelo with side trips to Braga and Guimares using mass transportation.
We’re open to a guided trip or traveling on our own by bus or train. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

https://exploresideways.com/?post_ty...types%5B%5D=44 I can ask my niece what she did there but they had a car and her distributor normally sets her up. Everything is a bit iffy right now with covid. There was on walking tour and donkey trekking. It is nice to think about planning though. We are thinking of France and Belgium in Nov. We just need a vaccine here in Fl.

Vinho verde is probably more common in more northern areas, and Maureen Ferguson of Grape Olive Pig does focus more on Alentejo but she is so well versed and such a great oenophile that it would be well worth checking with her. She gave an absolutely stellar tour for us!

Floridacouple, I know a really great guide in Porto who can do private wine and culture tours in northern Portugal. His family has a small vineyard and he makes wine (not for selling, just for drinking.) He knows Porto and the region around very well. If you (or anyone) would like his information please send me a private message. I do not like to post email addresses on the public forum - unless they are already on some website somewhere.
