vienna st stephens cathedral open at night?
hello! we are planning a trip to vienna and prague.
one item we are curious about is if we can climb the cathedral tower at night for a view of the city.
anyone recall if they saw people visiting in the evening? thanks,

By the way, I can't read German too well, but you may want to use http://babelfish.altavista.com/ to help you translate some of it. The translations aren't always the best, but you can get a general idea.

Okay, I thought I was about right on that- I did look at your link, "Turmbesteigung" -you can climb to the Tower daily until 5:30pm, and the view over Vienna is unfortunately restricted due to renovation work. It costs 3Euros (nothing in Vienna is free, btw, except seats for the Philharmonic at the Musikverein in their magnificent "golden hall" -to have the kind of seat I did for 11E really IS a steal!)
They also have comprehensive "abendfuhrungen"- "evening tours" on Saturday that last for 90 minutes, which you might be intereted in, the one starting at 5:30 is in English, then there's one more at 7pm, presumably in German.
