Victoria station to Luton

My Mum will be taking the train from where she lives to Victoria station, then needs to get to Luton for a flight. Any suggestions on the best way to do that?

Follow the advice on http://www.london-luton.co.uk/en/con...ea=2&id=62

EASIEST will be National Express coach from Victoria though there are several other options involving Tube rides to various other London stations followed by a train ride

Where does your mum live? There may be an easier way to Luton than via Victoria.

A small town called Emsworth - close to Portsmouth. She's catching a 7.55 p.m flight from Luton. It's on the Portsmouth to Victoria line.

A quick check on www.nationalrail.co.uk shows the best way is to take the :48 Southern to Three Bridges (just before Gatwick), then switch to First Capital Connect (formerly Thameslink) to Luton Parkway. Whole trip takes 2:48.

Going into Victoria means many more changes.

I will let her know. Emsworth to Victoria is direct, and then she was thinking of getting the coach from Victoria, but rail all the way sounds like it should be easier. Thanks!
