Is this the one? If so, I stayed there on three different occasions, from 1999 ? 2001, so I am afraid my information is not current.
I loved the hotel and the only reason I have not stayed there since is because the prices have increased so much. I always stayed in the Junior suites. huge rooms, by any standard (by Paris standards gigantic
) , beautifully decorated, with a large and comfortable ?living room?.
I love the location, just on the edge of the 14th arr. (one of my favourite areas to stay in). The service was excellent ? definitely four-star plus, with the charm and intimacy that comes with a small, elegant hotel.
Unfortunately, any time I have tried to book a room at short notice, there is either no availability or the fees are in excess of 350 Euros, so I have had to pass (I am a VERY bad planner). I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Hopefully, it is still as lovely as I remember. If you decide to stay there, please let me know if it is still a jewel.
Regards Ger

I checked on Tripadvisor.com (I always check there before I book an hotel) and am encouraged by the responses. Check it out:

We stayed there for three nights in July 2005 in one of the "junior suites" which was very nicely decorated and also had a fair-sized bathroom.
Our view was of an inner courtyard.
As mentioned above, the hotel is located about a block off the main street and is very quiet.
The breakfast buffet was very extensive and very good.
I think one reason this hotel doesn't get a lot of buzz here is because it isn't exactly on a "charming" street..no sidewalk cafes right out the door, etc.
It is within a couple of blocks of two Metro stations.
Our stay there was very satisfactory.
