Verona short-trip plan -- advice wanted

I am planning a short weekend trip to Verona from the UK -- arriving on a Friday afternoon, and leaving from Verona Brescia airport on the Sunday afternoon.
Is it worth trying to see any other places, apart from Verona within such a short time? I was told Vicenza is nearby -- but would trying to do a half-day trip there on the Saturday be too much?
Any suggestions and advice would be welcome!

You could easily spend all your time in Verona. It's a wonderful city. We were in Verona longer and took day trips to Asiago and Bassano del Grappa which were worthwhile. But again, staying in Verona is a great option.

Yes - I'd include Vicenza in your agenda. Very worthwhile.

Is it possible to see Vicenza in half-a-day, though? And what's the easiest way of getting there from Verona?

It depends on what you mean by "see Vicenza." Certainly half a day gives you plenty of time to wander the historic center and stare at Palladian architecture. What else did you have in mind?

I just am not sure how large a city it is -- if we are going to be exhausted and footsore and not even manage to get a feel of the place, then we'd much rather just stay in Verona for the entire weekend.
Tkaes about 30 minutes from Verona to Vicenza, doesn't it?
