Anyone use one of these. It seems like it would cover all are to and from transport (staying at Lido) which would be simpler that constantly buying tickets and having cash on hand...
Not sure if it actually would work as well as stated, first trip to Venice

Why are you staying all the way out on the Lido?

That is VERY inconvenient for Venice.

You don't need cash on hand. Just use your credit card or ATM card. ATMs all over Venice.

I have used them several times it basically boils down to how long your going to be there to see if it is worth it. Tip: pay the euro and get at least one bathroom pass if you need it you will be more than happy you have it, if not the cost is nil for the insurance of a clean restroom that is not substandard.
The lido is not that far but it will take you appx. 15-20min depending which one your on.

We have just returned from Europe. In Venice we each bought the 7 day travel pass for 50 Euros. They are fantastic. You insert the card on the validator machine before every trip - easy, peasy. Given that a single vaporetto ride is 7 Euros, and we seemed to spend a lot of time getting to various places via stops on the Grand Canal, our passes paid for themselves within 3 days.

You can get 12 hour, 24 hour etc passes as well. We purchased them immediately upon arriving at the train station - there is a Hellovenezia kiosk right on the canal front so you can buy a pass there before your first vaporetto ride.

If we go again we'd look at the Venice Card for transport PLUS museum/church entries. We didn't realise just how many buildings we'd end up wanting to visit, so it was rather shortsighted of us not to get this one.

Know what you want before arriving in Venice - the people who man the Hellovenezia desks are generally not the most helpful people in Italy.

Enjoyed staying at Lido the last time and loved the peace and tranqility. This time opting to get away from the maddening touristy crowd in Venice.Its just a short Vaporetto ride away.Relaxing on the beach or strolling along the quiet streets lined with building with historical architecture,Lido is charming.Stayed at Villa Gabriella. The owners also have a condo a short walk away.With its living/kitchenette and a bedroom and sit-out makes it ideal for long stays.Get a vaporette pass,will be very convienent.

We have 2 full days but kids love being on the water so, aside from basic to and for to sights, they will want to take rides for the fun of it.
For 2 days, is there a specific pass I should consider please?
For 2 days is there a museum/buildings pass that will hit the highlights please?
We chose the Lido for peace since I am such a light sleeper! We are fine with the 20 ride over to the main sights.
