Venice Red Light District?

I just came across a pamphlet that I picked up in Venice when we were there in June. It advertised several Venice tours that included a walk that takes tourists, among other places, to the Red Light District in Castello. I have been to Venice at least 10 times, and feel like I have seen most of the city (but I find something new every trip!), but I have never been anywhere that made me think I was in a Red Light area. Where exactly is it?

Don't know if they ever got around to it. Things move so slowly in Italy.

Last time I was in Venice I stayed in Mestre and prostitution seemed to me to be very much in evidence, especially males.

I went back and re-read the listing and answered my own question! It says, "Your journey contnues through the old red-light district of Castelleto. . ." Apparently, it is an historical area, not a practicing one, but where is Castelleto (their word, not mine)?

I found a reference that says Castelleto is another name for Isola di San Pietro, which makes since it's a small island in Castello.

That does make sense, and I think I have heard that reference before, now that I think about it. I guess I just should have done some more thinking before I posted today, period!!
