Venice, Italy Hotel Recommendations

I am looking for a hotel for less than $175 US per night for 3 people in Venice, centrally located. Any recommendations?

Try the Al Gambero. It is located on Calle dei Fabbri midway between the Rialto Bridge and St Marks. Our rooms in Sept 99 were 210000L for a double with bath with breakfast. Rooms have all be remodeled lately and were nice....small, but very nice with new bathrooms also. Fax is 39 041 520 0431 Phone is 39 041 522 4384. We discovered this hotel on Fodors and it was exactly what we needed. Good luck. Enjoy Venice.

I HIGHLY recommend the Hotel San Moise. It is beautifully decorated, a three minute walk from San Marco. Air-conditioning. Very helpful staff. 250,000 lire ($120) per night for 2 (I don't know what the price for three would be).

Web address: www.sanmoise.it

Deborah

After wading thru dozens of recommendations, on this forum, we finally chose the Hotel Leon Bianco. It looks beautiful and was reasonably priced...check it out at www.leonbianco.it

Also go to http://www.venere.it/venezia/index.html.
for a great look at incredible hotels.

I can't wait!!
