Venice Carnival show..Is this just a tourist trap or is it worth it

Hi,

I found on the internet that there is a Venice Carnival Show. Has anyone seen this? IS it worth it or is it just a tourist trap?

Godin, I just posted a question regarding this and it disappeared, did search and found yours. My Venice hotel just sent it to me saying it was highly recommended but I feel same as you, worth it or not?

As your thread is from last November maybe you have gone to Venice already? Did you see this show?

Comments from others truly appreciated!!

I haven't seen the show but general opinion here in Italy says it is a tourist trap.

I heard lots of good things from people that had seen it, actually...but I have also heard that it has closed and that there's a new restaurant in its place.
