venice alternatives to hotels

HELP! hostels are full!! Anyone know of a ..alternate to hotels convents are out-we're not married.

This was a great place we stayed last September. Don't know how it compares to hostel costs, but it's a fair price for the accomodations. www.casacosmo.com

Don't go by Hostelworld - it lists many places as full which really aren't. Try contacting the hostels directly.

I don't know what your budget is, but we found an apartment last year thru venicerentals.com. It was less expensive than most hotels I had priced, so I was pleasantly surprised.

The dollar was stronger then, but you could always check it out anyhow. Ask about the San Aponal apartment.

Can you check whether convents are definitely out as youre not married? Do they actually check whether you are or not? I think I have read a thread somewhere here or it may be on Trip Advisor about staying at convents and not being married. Check it out. I am going from Milan to Venice on Thursday 26/5 and staying at a convent so can check there if its any good to you:
