Veneto/Venice

We are taking a tour next year which stays at a hotel in Veneto rather than Venice. If we wanted to look around Venice at night would it be too far to get transport back to Veneto by taxi etc.?

Hm.... I am slightly confused about your question!

Veneto is an Italian province and Venice is part of it.
What town will you be staying in?
Sorry, confused. Apparently, the hotel is in Treviso. I hope this clears everything up.

Hi Toni

If you go to www.multimap.com you will find an interactive map of Italy. Treviso is about 75 km from Venice.

At www.trenitalia.com you can look up the train schedules. It's about 1/2 hr.

At http://www.sita-on- line.it/index2ing.htm
you will find the SITA bus routes. The bus from Treviso goes through Padua, so I think the train would be better.

Toni - Trains run every 20-30 minutes until midnight from Venice S.L to Treviso, so you don't have a problem.
Treviso is lovely.

Hope this helps ...

Steve

Veneto is the entire region, not just a province.

Hi, Steve. As usual, your expertise re getting around Italy amazes me.
