Vatican tours
Well I've read just about every post ever posted on touring the Vatican, but I still have a couple of questions:
- Has anybody done a good tour of the Vatican with a group besides Context Rome? The reason I ask is because we will book 'Roma Antica' with them (for 4 of us) and maybe 'Underground Rome' (for 2 of us), and I thought maybe I could find a slightly cheaper group to do the Vatican with.
- The Vatican tours all seem to start around lunch time. I know this is to minimize line time. But does it give you enough time there?
Thanks for the help.

The Vatican tour I took started in the morning and ended by about 12:30pm, maybe even 1pm. It was a group tour with [email protected].

I've booked a tour of the Vatican Gardens, Museums and Sistine Chapel through the North American College in rome. As I understand it, the guides are American graduate students studying in Rome. The cost for the Gardens tour is 12 euro/pp, cost of the Museums and Chapel tour is 21.50 euro/pp. I found a reference and positive recommendation for these tours by searching the archives of this board. I liked the idea of supporting the students who do this. E-mail for reservation at visiteguidate.musei.va
