Hi ! Thanks for the reply. I am looking to buy the reduced ticket for students. However, on the website, it says that the tickets can only be bought on the day itself. If so then how can i still make a reservation? And if i cant make a reservation and have to purchase them on the day itself, will i still be guaranteed a spot in the tours? Will i still be able to skip the lines ?

Regarding the email address, the one I see for information on guided tours is [email protected].

Personally, I'd probably just pay the full price for an advance reservation. But now that we've topped this thread, perhaps others will have suggestions.

Alrighty thanks for the advice... i emailed them to ask what i should do.

I might consider booking the full price but my friends and i are traveling europe for a month on a budget so every euro counts !! A youth ticket will save us 4 euros each !

supertraveler, I thought about mentioning this before, but since you are on a budget, why not just book admission to the museum and skip the tour? Perhaps find a good guidebook or auditour instead?

We used the audio guide for the Vatican and it was great and inexpensive.
You can go at your own pace and avoid walking around with a crowd of people.

Hi thanks for all your suggestions i might just download an audio guide to take on the trip ... But the main reason why i want to get on a tour was to skip the awful line and a tour can help in that aspect .

GrandmaCarol,

Thanks for the advice, when you visited the Vatican were there long lines to enter ? Could u recommend a good audio guide? Rick steven's maybe ?
