vaporettos in venice

If I get a two-day pass for the vaporettos in Venice, can I use the vaporettos as many times as I want during the two days? Also, can this same pass be used to get to the islands of Murano and Burano and the cemetery on San Michelle? Thanks for any suggestions and advice.

The tickets are for a specified number of hours. The 48-hour ticket cost 25 euros and is valid for 48 hours from when you stamp it; it covers all ACTV boats, as well as buses on the Lido. You can hop on and off boats as many times as you like all through the day and night, and go to the islands or as far as Chioggia.

Note Geoff's use of '48 hours.' Depending on when you stamp it, your pass could be valid on three days--for example from noon on day 1 unitl noon on day 3.

If I get a two-day pass for the vaporettos in Venice, can I use the vaporettos as many times as I want during the two days? - YES

Also, can this same pass be used to get to the islands of Murano and Burano and the cemetery on San Michelle? - YES

Also, you will have unlimited free use of the various traghetti.

I thought the traghetti cost a small amount even with the pass.

Vaporetto pass does NOT cover Traghetto/Traghetti that you use just to cross the Grand Canal (there are about 6 such points). That costs 0.40 - 0.50 € each ride. I heard bigger (multi-deck) boats that are covered by the pass and that link between, e.g., Punta Sabioni - Lido - San Marco are called traghetti too (meaning shuttle?) but am not sure or I'm not sure which bardo meant.

On our last visit to Venice we spent 4 nights and purchased 3-day (72 hr.)vaporetto passes. We did use them to go to Murano and Burano and just to get to our destinations more quickly. It was very convenient to just hop on and off whenever you wanted. Be sure to just wander and "get lost" in Venice! Buon Viaggio!

The multi-day pass DOES also cover the traghetti crossing the Grand Canal. I used the traghetti many times and they were always covered by my 72 hour pass.
