what is this V festival that appears on every forum ? Can you share some opinions and impressions from previous years? Thanks

I take it you mean the V Festival in England?

It's just a weekend music festival. Very commercial. Held on two sites; the acts swap sites on Sat evening so play both. I go as it's quite local to me and good fun, if not quite like the festivals of yesteryear (but are any these days?). Generally a young crowd. Very alcoholic. Tickets sell out in an hour or so. What do you really want to know?

So it is not worthy to go if I don`t leave close to it?!

Well, I don't know, some people travel a long way.

I wouldn't go travelling internationally just for this though, no. there are better festivals.

Glastonbury, T in the Park and Leeds/Reading are the events to look out for if you want to experience the British summer music festival scene. V festival is distinctly average.

It seems from your other thread that you are interested in European music festivals.

What about the Exit Festival held in Serbia and Outlook in Croatia? Many popular and up-and-coming bands play these festivals.

And in France the biggest festival is Vieilles Charrues at Carhaix in Brittany.

My daughter is the festival queen of the family, and loves them all! Favourite is Glastonbury where she gets a press pass, backstage access and clean showers!
