Using Ryan Air for car hire in France

I am wanting to hire a car for four days in Provence (Marseilles airport). The price quoted by Ryan air on the net is better than going through either Auto Europe or Hertz direct. A saving of about $60 (okay so not huge amounts of money)Has anyone used Ryan air for car hire (they use Hertz) and were they reliable etc. It is an all inclusive price, unlimited kms, CWD, fees etc etc. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks Schnauzer

I always book cars through the Ryanair portal for Hertz. I find it great and much cheaper than Hertz own site. It is reliable and I can vouch certainly for Ireland it is all inclusive - except if you want to have no excess - there is an additional feee - usually between 7 and 10 euros per day, but this is the case with Hertz own site anyway.

Hi,

For no-excess insurance try www.insurance4carhire.com - I am based in Uk & use a lot - not sure if USA has similar policy??

Yes I always take it...though in some countries in Europe it is impossible to reduce your excess to zero.

Check the terms and conditions for Hertz in france just to make sure it is "all inclusive"
