Urgent - Please Help Aegean Air troubles

Hello there,

I am trying to change a flight on Aegean Air - however, when I go to enter my reference number and last name I get a red bar at the top that states "A schedule change has occurred on this trip. Please acknowledge it and choose your trip options again (seats, meals,...)".

I realized after this that my original flight had changed its time from 7:45pm to 6:20pm but I was never notified via email or phone.

Does anyone know how I "acknowledge" my flight so that I can change it? It is fairly urgent as there are not many seats left on the flight I need to book... please help if you can!

Thanks in advance.

You'd better spend the money to call the Aegean customer service phone number for immediate assistance. +30-210-626-1000

There is an e-mail option on their website. The same thing happened to us. I e-mailed and they responded within 24 hours. There had been a 10 minute change in the flight. They could not explain why we couldn't acknowledge the change on their site.

If you write now those seats that are still available might not be by the time they read and respond to your email.

Yes, call.
I had exactly the same problem, emailed them & it was a week before I got a reply with the new schedule for me to decline or accept, by which time it had changed again!
There is an English option when you call if language is a concern.

We have flights between Athens and Heraklion and then Santorini to Athens in June. I don't want to change my tickets, but, looking at Aegean's site and checking the flight times (by doing dummy bookings) - I see that the Athens to Heraklion flight has been brought forward half an hour and the Santorini to Athens flight brought forward 2 hours!!!!! They have not emailed me about these changes. Do I need to do anything?
Many thanks.

Arrgghh - just looked on my bookings and the red line has popped up. Good grief!
The Santorini to Athens flight is marked with the same red banner as the OT - with no option to acknowledge... And, worse, the Athens to Heraklion one says, "A schedule change has occurred on this trip. Please contact our call center in case you want to change or cancel this reservation. (15069),Please note that the Airline has cancelled one or more of your selected flights. Please modify your reservation, or contact your travel agent for further information. (9115) (9115)"
I would NEVER have known this if I hadn't read this thread!! Thank you Fodors! BUT, why on earth don't they email their passengers who've already paid them for their tickets?!

The first time this happened to me I did receive an email notice but it wasn't very timely. Also, they had automatically re-assigned me to a flight that was no good for my itinerary. I called right away and lucky for me there was room on the flight I wanted, about an hour later than the original.

Every year around March Olympic and Aegean update their domestic timetables for the summer season. Anyone who booked earlier than that should check their bookings, perhaps confirming flight times with the airline just before the trip.

Once I booked an internal flight early (in January). Departure time was subsequently moved forward, and later flights were filled by the time I contacted the airline. Since then I wait until spring to book internal flights, or just take the ferry.

We booked our flights in November - so serves us right, I suppose!
I've emailed Aegean Airlines - but I hate hassle, so am considering spending the entirety of our trip on the mainland!

Thanks for updating right away! I was calling at the time I wrote this and was not getting through to anyone hence the panic... I also seny in an email but I have still not heard from them!

All is good, I finally reached someone (5th try). They told me that the best way was to cancel my flight (free of charge) and re book another flight. This was mainly due to a huge gap of time between the tickets.

THANK YOU so much to everyone who responded so quickly. I was starting to get really frustrated.
