Updated Experiences on Rome Car Transfers?

Hi everyone. In 2007 & 2008, we used Rome Shuttle Limousine, per advice from Fodorites, and we were very pleased with their service. In November, we will once again need private car service from FCO to the Navona area & return. There are 2 of us with 1 small bag each. We do not want to take the train.

Any recent experiences with Rome Shuttle Limousine? I did a search & last post is 2/2009 - 1 positive, 1 negative.

How about Rome Cabs, any recent experiences with them?

Thanks, Julie

Julie, I can heartily recommend Rome Cabs....I have used them on 5 different occasions, the most recent in February, and have never been disappointed. The drivers have always been prompt and courteous.

Hope you have a great trip...I wish I was there now!

If you don't want to bother with booking, a regular taxi has a 40 Euro maximum to anywhere in Rome from the airport

I used Rome Shuttle Limousine 2 weeks ago and had no problems at all. The driver arrived right on the dot and he was very nice.

Used Rome Shuttle Limo on Monday and they were terrific as always. We needed a 7:00 am pick up and it was no problem. We've used them for the past three years and have always had lovely drivers (although not always English speaking, not that that matters to us).

They charge 40 Euros now so there's no cost saving per Avalon's post.
