Sending you gratitude for all the valuable information you have contributed to this travel forum-you have definetly been the go to guy for Italy that got me pointed in the right direction. Good wishes for a speedy recovery...and that you are back to doing what makes you feel good sooner than later.

Bob is the reason that we first went to the Hotel Schernthaner in St. Gilgen which we absolutely fell in love with along with the owner, Frau Eisl. We have so many amazing memories of this charming hotel thanks to Bob.
I know we are all looking forward to having Bob back in form on Fodor's sharing more of his wisdom.

All the very best, Bob.
And to Amazing Susan & Mr & Mrs Go, too. It's tough when someone you love cops a curved ball.
Hope Bob is back Navigating again and that you'll all be happily on the go soon.

Hi Bob,
You are sorely missed on this board. Your advice has been invaluable. You never condescend and always keep it brief.
Your gorgeous pics of Sicily are especially beautiful. Many include you and your lovely wife - always looking so happy.
All the best to you and your family for the coming holidays and beyond...
PS Thanks, mr_go the the headsup.

Bob, the most useful thing I remember you saying was to edit down your photos to a manageable number, and I have kept your advice firmly in mind so as not to bore anyone, including myself.
I hope your own photos and memories give you some pleasure while you recover from this setback.
Thanks Mr. Go for sharing this news and giving us all an opportunity to express our best wishes.

Best recovery wishes to Bob, and our love to his family, too.
Bob has been one of the guys who continually offers sage advice and answers specific questions without dissing the person asking it. No wonder he is held in such high esteem by all we Fodors veterans.
Newbies are gonna need you, Bob, so we hope to see your comments again soon!

Bob, our best wishes to you as you work through your recovery. We miss your valuable insights!
The information you provided, especially of northern Italy, was so helpful to us. Thanks again for that, Bob!
