Almost every decent eating place in my area, Lincolnshire, is in an old pub. On the whole, country pubs are wholesome places where you can take children to eat, even in the evening, with no qualms unless you are at the extreme end of teetotalism. You are unlikely to have anything to do with clubs, so no worries there either.
