I am traveling alone and will have three days, two nights to spend in England, and am looking for a unique stay (monastery, farm stay or just a beautiful B & B) which will provide relaxation. Flying into Manchester and out of Heathrow, so it can be located anywhere in between (in addition to the NW coastline). Any place that's noteworthy that you've run across ? Thank you !!

I recommend staying somewhere in the Cotswolds. There are lots of great places to stay, and a lot depends on your budget, but Lower Slaughter Manor is a really unique hotel. There are also many B&B's in the area.

Lower Slaughter Manor is a great idea as is Lord of the Manor in Upper Slaughter. I have not stayed at either but have been past and stopped to admire the places. Both nanors are magnificent, the locations are idyllic and unique. Both are pricey but look to be oh so worth it for someone wanting the "to the manor born" experience.

For £200 a night you could stay just about anywhere, except maybe Lords of the Manor in Upper Slaughter.

By definition, most monastery accommodations are pretty basic and cost a tiny fraction of your budget.

This place is in a great location just west of Burford.

We stayed at Bruern Cottages near Milton-under-Wychwood in the Cotswolds, in particular, Saratoga Cottage. I'm not sure if you are interested in a cottage but this was definitely an "away from it all" magical place to stay.

Public footpaths nearby if you like to walk and most of the cottages have their own private garden. We filled the birdfeeder and watched pheasants come into our garden.

It was very relaxing, one of the most memorable places we have stayed when on holiday in England. I understand they have spa facilities now and the price meets your criteria (provided you do not stay in one of the larger cottages).
