I finally saw the movie!! It was on TV in San Francisco at 6 pm today. And if you love the book and/or the movie don't read my post.
Here are some of my personal observations:
1. I didn't like the book, seemed snobbish especially compared to "extra-virgin".
2. The movie is nothing like the book, halleluya!
3. Doesn't matter whether you read the book or not, the movie doesn't make sense.
4. The movie is tolerable only if you're in love with Italy.
5. I was so right not to see the movie in a movie theatre, I'd feel sorry for wasting $10.
