I was mistaken. I do know what you're talking about. But I think it's the Ulster Folk Park in Bangor, which isn't too far from Belfast. FYI: The Ulster American Folk Park is out in the west of N.Ireland.

But my assessment of the park remains the same: it's okay, and I would go if you're not pressed for time.

Ann, thank you. I got a thorough answer on the irelandyes.com forum along with links to the Ulster American Folk Park and the Ulster History Park, both near Omagh. Since I am very interested in imigration and history I have decided to see them both.

Looks like the only thing I succeeded in was confusing the issue! I'll have to check out the Ulster History Park. My husband grew up in N.I., and he's never heard of it.

I did enjoy the Ulster American Folk Park. One aspect in particular--they have a display of sorts where you enter a ship, with a typical Irish house and surroundings. You walk through the ship and on the other side, you come out in front of a typical New England house. Kind of interesting.

Anyway, enjoy your trip.
