UK's Ten Most Beautiful Towns???

What do you think are Britain's ten most beautiful towns (besides London) of the ones you've visited? We're talking of good looks here and nothing else - i may find Liverpool more interesting than Oxford but Oxford is far more beautiful according to any criteria. And we're talking of cities not villages.
Here's Mine - i'm interesting in yours
1- Edinburgh
2- Bath
3- Oxford
4- Cambridge
5- York
6 -Windsor & Eton
7- Lincoln
8- Chester
9- Straftford-upon-Avon
10- Bristol

With the exception of Edinburgh, I loved Norwich best but maybe partly because I lived there so I am biased.

Also enjoyed Oxford and Lincoln.

Good selection PalQ, but do you really find Bristol more beautiful than Ludlow?

Julia t: Well i may have overlooked Ludlow as being too much a small town - but i went to Bristol in December and that town has done a wondrous rehab job in its docks/town centre area - i just thought it was delightful and also the university/cathedral area on top of the hill. But Ludlow is exceptionally beautiful, espcially since it's surrounded by lush greenery.

Having visited a great deal of Britain,I would like to nominate Lichfield.....Maybe it was because I am interested In Dr.Johnson....You can visit his house there, which is also a bookshop..Then visit St.Chad's Cathedral.I think that the place thrives on tourists, but I would go for a second visit....Beautiful!!!

Well in that case Muck, PalQ only has 3 most beautiful 'towns' on his list

Windsor, Eton and Stratford-Upon-Avon.

My choices?

Padstow, Stafford, Tunbridge Wells, Burton-on-the-water, Grassington and any other village in the Yorkshire Dales
