I would check out Canterbury, England to see if it appears to your taste. Also, Oxford, England sounds interesting to me. My reasons- after reading the Canterbury Tales many years ago, to see how royalty left the black-plague on that path; & Oxford, because it generates those that seek quality in education from there, & I'd like to see what the area offers to them.
