I'm not for banning all guns

but do think that mentally ill seem to be able to get them and then do things like shoot up schools

right wing even resists any more than ephermeral ID checks at gun shows/auctions.

And oozies they do not want to ban either

easy access to guns with emotionally angered folks means big trouble often

There is a reason U.K. and Canada and other gun-restricting countries have lower murder and gun violence rates - would not you have to say?

Pal, I really do understand what you are saying. My only problem is how do you plan to keep the crazies from getting the guns without restricting the rights of the honest citizen who just wants to protect himself?

Most crimes aren't committed with legally obtained guns, anyway, but guns that have been bought "on the street". These are the guns we need to restrict access to.

I too understand the argument 'only criminals will have guns'

as there are simply too many around now

Just want a more rigorous process of being able to get a gun

I could in a few minutes go to Meijer and get a gun - if i were emotionally unstable or not - if i had a record of mental instability or not it seems

But i am not against sane folks like you who will only i think use it in defense having guns or concealed weapons

But also parents often it seems do not keep their guns locked up well enough and kids sometime get their hands on them

I would charge the parent severely in that case and take away their gun ownership privilege as long as minors were in the house.

A tough question but i do feel guns are way too available now and a longer time frame to thoroughly check instituted.

But yes the criminals will always have guns, no way around that.

sincerely
