Two Together Railcard UK?

If I get a Two Together Railcard for my brother and me, fall trip around the UK, would I be able to use discount for myself at another time?

It looks still worth it, even just for that one-week trip.

The card only works when the same two are in fact traveling together.

I've even bought the card once when we were only taking one train journey - London to Edinburgh when we wanted to travel 1st Class the savings was about twice the cost of the card

BTW, do you know of a resource for deciding which rail lines are worth it for first class?
