Two Nights in Dublin

I'm going to Ireland the middle of August and I'm looking for a place to stay for 2 nights in Dublin. There are four of us going and the Temple Bar or St. Stephen's Green area look best. Anyone have any hotel suggestions? I've checked out the sites for Fitzwilliam Hotel, Harrington Hall, Harding Hotel, and Stauntons on the Green. Any recommendations or suggestions? Thanks in advance, Amy

Amy,

We stayed at the Trinity Lodge last summer when we visited Dublin. It's a small B&B on a quiet street close to Trinity College, St. Stephens Green and the main shopping area.

The price was reasonable and the staff was very friendly.

Check it out.

The Arlington ( North bank of Liffey near O'Connell bridge ) is a good choice ( Good food ). So is The Grafton Plaza.
We stayed at the Harding. It's nothing terribly fancy, but the people were nice, the location very good & the rooms were big, clean and fairly cheap.

I would suggest the Georian House Hotel on Baggot Street. It's conveniently located on Baggot Street and you can walk to Temple Bar (a 10 minute walk) and to St. Stephen's Green (a 5 minute walk).

Two months ago spent 4 nights in Dublin and stayed at the Shelboune Hotel which is located overlooking St. Stephens Green..is about 3 minutes walking to Grafton Street..and perhaps 10 minutes walking from Temple Bar. Great location. It is considered one of the luxury hotels in Dublin. Ergo, it is a good value..but not cheap. Also, there is a new Westin Hotel that is located nearby that is supposed to be quite nice.
