Two days on Lithuania's Baltic Coast; Opinions Please!

Our October trip to Poland and Lithuania has been delayed to next May for a good reason--- a new grandchild born a week ago. But I have changed some things on our itinerary and need some advice on where to stay on the Baltic coast for a couple of days. I know Klaipedia is a major cruise stop, and that Nida and Palanga are also popular. We are in our mid 60s, active, and healthy, but I like here and there on a long trip to slow down for a day or two after days of travel with historic sites, cathedrals, etc. My husband loves being on the water and fishing. I can go wandering around, shop, or simply relax somewhere. I hear Nida is charming, and that Klaipedia and Palanga are bigger resort areas. Trying to figure out where we should stay for those two days. I'm thinking Nida, because I like the idea of a quaint fishing village, but I'm wondering if there are opportunities for him to go out fishing for a day with a guide, and how developed the town is for visitors. Opinions please.

Take a look here for more info on the three places:

Nida is the smallest, quietest and most beautiful. Palanga is a hopping resort town. Klaipėda is a port city. Quite different.
