Those look like great choices Stu, thanks.
Thanks for the parking tips, jpie
And Christina, we will have friends with us who have never been to a Provence market, so I guess you could say we are window shopping for whatever catches our eye.
I've been just trying to determine which market would be the most satisfying to see, but glad to hear that they are all very similar, so whichever one we choose should be enjoyable.

I'd give Isle sur la Sorgue Market Sunday am a miss and visit on another day if you want to actually "see" this pretty little village. Huge crowds and impossible parking on market days and all the cafes are overflowing too.
In fact market days just mean crowds and really detract from the enjoyment of these little villages IMO and they are all fairly similar.

The Arles Saturday market is enormous and varied. I like it, though parking can be a bit of a horror. Isle-sur-la-Sorgue market makes me want to run fast out of town, as does the St-Rémy Wednesday market.
There isn't even that much variation any longer between the markets in the Dordogne and those in Provence, or anywhere in France for that matter, though some products in each are distincly regional.

L'Isle sur la Sorgue
>> The market "officially" starts at 9. It gets "too crowded" for us by 10:30.<<

Reminds me of the Yogi-ism:
"Nobody goes there anymore because it is too crowded"
We "flee" by 10:30 too - but it might be the only market in the region with food, crafts, gifts, and antiques. Just get there by 8 and depart by 10:30. Visit the "outer" section of the market near the river first. That's the most crowded part because the road is skinny there. Then work your way into the interior. The flea market section opens last - so do that after you have visited all the other vendors. Then lastly browse the "fine" antiques on the "other" side of the traffic road.
My wife's favorite market is the Monday morning market in Bedoin. We'll be there on June 18 & 25 this year.
