Tuscany hotels- please chose between these 2

I'd down to Castello di Velona in Montalcino looks way up on a hill and La Saracina outside Peinza which appears more countryside. It is hard to tell from pictures on the net. Are the bathrooms at La Saracina large? I can get a good deal from Luxury link on Velona for the Executive suite. Anyway, I am still searching...thanks. I think for our second half in Tuscany we have settled on Villa Casalecchi in the Chianti region. Thank you again...

La Saracina said they could accommodate us on our requested dates for the Malasiva room...any input for Castillo de Velona? Or Locanda dell'Amorosa?

Sorry, we have not stayed at either of these places but did stay at a very nice agriturismo (farm villa) in the Chianti region called Collelungo in Castalina - very nice!! we are going back. If you need info on that, let us know. It is close enough to all of the other towns, Montupulciano, Montelcino, Pienza, Volterra, Sienna...etc..

Hi My husband and I stayed at castello di velona in oct 2004 We purchased a 5 night package through luxury link. It was incredible. Lifestyles of the rich and famous. We had a suite with our own private courtyard/balcony that over looked the mountains, vineyards and pool. We used this as a base to tour tuscany. drove to train station and took train to siena one day florence another. The restaurants in the area were wounderful. We spluerged on our last night and had the tasting menu at castello banfi winery. we still dream about it. The rack price on the back of the door of our room was over $695 usd We paid less than 1/3 through luxury link and that included dinner wine and their own olive oil.

thanks! Now I discovered Locanda dell Amorosa...what to do! Casalecchi is out now, the room we wanted no available. So maybe Velona or Amorosa for south of Siena & then something in Chianti area, I'll check Collelungo. Wease, we have taken many trips through LuxuryLink & never have been disappointed & saved big time, that is why I keeping checking for Italy auctions. DId you have the Executive Suite or Junior suite? I got us first class airfare for LAX to Rome & Venice to LAX on my FF miles so I'm willing to splurge on everything else!
