Tuscany-Castello di Velona

First trip to Tuscany. Found this beautiful Small Luxury Hotel of the World online. It's in Montalcino. We are looking for a luxury place to stay with a pool and a great view. We don't necessarily need 5 star, just want something really nice and special. Is this one worth the price ($400/night) or would you suggest something equally fabulous where I can save dollars to buy wine?
Thanks for your help!

End of August. We also found a special where breakfast is included, we get one dinner and a wine tour.

Hi my husband and I stayed here. It was fantastic. We bid for 5 nights through Luxurylink. The price ended up being $250/night. It was really worth it. We had a suite with our own private balcony over looking the vineyards and pool. We used it as a base for exploring Tuscany. Took the train from chuisi to Florence for one day, drove to Sienna for a day. My husband had e-mailed a few wineries before hand and set up private tours. We gad dinner at Castello Banfi winery. It was expensive but an incredible experience.

At $250 it is a bargain--at $400 it is overpriced. There are better choices for less in Tuscany. Look at:
Villa Cicolina
Locanda Amorosa
Relais La Saracina
