A troll is a message (or the person who posted it), designed solely (or chiefly) to elicit sniping, jabbing and polarizing answers. Frequently, the message, or its writer appears to be just on the threshold of unbelievably stupid, naive, bigoted, or simply downright hateful.

An example might be "Why don't Europeans wear deodorant?" or "Are all of us Americans really all that loud when we talk in public?" - - but the substance is not in the question itself - - rather it is in the "tweaking" of the WAY it is asked, of often, amplified.

...and "ttt" stands for "to the top" - - another way of saying "topping" - - the practice of adding even the least little message - - like <<to the top>> - - and thereby returning a message "thread" to the top of the list of messages (in the left hand column) of all those which have most recently had a new contribution posted.

Best wishes,

Rex
