I an NOT trying to be rude - but that has to be about the most ridiculous title for a thread. Start a new one with a title that specifically identifies what you are looking for. "trying again" could be asking anything about anywhere.

I assume you are asking about Paris? I stayed in a Hotel Sorbonne on rue Victor Cousin (near place de la Sorbonne) about 4 days 10 years ago. It was a decent 2 star hotel at that time, and still is from what I've read. I only stayed in one room so couldn't compare to others.

Can you pick a place, make a reservation, apply for the visa, then do more research on the hotel you really want..? Or is there something that dictates no hotel change once you have applied for the visa? If not, then you don't have to let your visa wait...

The three traveling Texas gals (Sandy b) loved the Lyon-Mulhouse and stayed in a huge quad (2 double beds, I think) from whence they could see the Bastille. I think their room number was 26. It would cost more than a double, but it might be worth it for the room.
