tropea to Aeolian Islands

Advice please! We (adult group of 6) are staying in Parghelia in July 2016 and would like to see the Aeolian Islands. Can anyone recommend excursions or day trips to Stromboli, Lipari and Panarea?
Can anyone recommend restaurants in the Tropea/Parghelia area?

Thanks in advance.

Hope you get some replies - might be a bit off the beaten track for most? Sometimes there is little response if its a place out of the ordinary. Anyway this reply will surface it to the top, Out of interest, especially as I haven't a clue about these places, how did you hear about ... and decide to select this area of Italy?

I don't know how you would get to the Aeolian islands from Tropea but I would highly recommend you get there if you can. We spent a week on Lipari in 2014 and absolutely loved it. I originally got the idea on Fodors and subsequently read 2 books about Australians who had spent time there. We caught the train from Naples to Messina, which was a great experience in itself. We changed trains in Messina to get to Milazzo where we caught a hydrofoil to Lipari. We stayed in a self catering apartment in the main town and visited the various sites and some of the other islands, Vulcano and Panarea. I would go back tomorrow if I could.

Judging by the low response it seems that not many people have been there - perhaps the secret is out.
