Dickie.....hope you get there..has to be driven. We rented a car in Bodo and ferried across to "A" and in five days we drove along the spine to Svolvaer. ..then ferried to the mainland and drove to Narvik and Tromso. Luckily we had great weather as you can see by the pics. Can you imagine a white, powdery sand beach..had everything but palm trees!

Bodo isn't too difficult for us by air. However, Norway would always be a winter destination for us, summer means Italy or Spain. I am of sure about the appropriate logistics relating to driving in winter with a 7 year old in an unfamiliar environment. I am sure once our son is older we will go for an adventure.

Beautiful photos, stu! Yes, I am definitely putting those places on my future visit list! Would love to do that drive. So many places to go!! Thanks again for all of your help and yours, Dickie_Gr and HappyTrvlr! I promise to put a report up when I return!
