Hello, Looking for help with travel while in Switzerland. This trip is so my teenage son and I can tour CERN just outside Geneva. We are flying into Zurich and need to take a train to Geneva. While the CERN tour is the central part of our trip, we will also tour Geneva and Zurich a bit. Looking for advice on which train/bus ticket makes the most sense. We really just need a roundtrip train from Zurich to Geneva. Besides that it's just in town transport in the two cities. Any suggestions on single train tickets versus combination tickets like Half-Fare? Etc? Thanks

So, you would be travelling from
Zurich Flughafen (airport) to Geneve/Genf Hauptbahnhof (main train station) by fastest method (ICE).
Price out your point to point ticket prices.
I think sbb (swiss national train authority) also offers a very limited option which just includes airport to arrival destination and final destination to airport. This 'may' be a good choice for you.
The last I checked, the HalfFare Card cost 120 CHF,
so I doubt it would be economical.
