Trip report: Venice, Cinque T., Florence, Pompeii, Positano, and Rome

We took a wonderful trip to Italy a few years back and just now wrote a trip report and posted it on our blog, www.hitherandthither.net. It's in the column of travelogues in the upper right of the home page. Though it's from a few years back, it should still be useful. We had such a wonderful time--I'm happy we finally got around to collecting all of those little details in one place.

Happy traveling!
(P.S. If you do visit the blog, we'd love to hear from you over there!)

I thoroughly enjoyed your travelogue - but especially loved your photographs. We'll be there this September so fully appreciated the tips. Great blog.

Alovesa,

You have to let me know how to get to that great Beach. I have an apt rented in Manarola, that will be great for me to take the kids swimming.

Pookymimi, I wish I could recall the exact directions. It wasn't too difficult and I would imagine that a local could help you out, though. Basically, you enter through a old train tunnel. I seem to remember that from the new train platform we were able to see which way to head pretty clearly--it was one of the only routes toward the water. Definitely seek it out! I'm sorry that I can't recall the details better than that.
