Trip Report - 7 weeks in France - Roussillon, Provence, Alsace, Paris

Greg - great report.
i'm impressed with your sang fraud regarding turning up at the airport a day early; perhaps if the trip had been only 7 days, and not 7 weeks, you might have been a bit crosser!

Great report. This certainly gives us some great ideas for other places to visit in Languedoc. it looks like you had great weather and a wonderful time. I would love to have 7 weeks in France. Maybe we will be able to do that in the near future. We were in some parts of Languedoc and Dordogne in June and are planning a trip to Alsace in Sept. Your photos are great and bring back fond memories of our trip to Provence in 2010. I also noticed your trip to Lucca in 2010. We stayed there for a week in 2008 and loved it. We also did the hike to the Cinque Terre towns. It,s really sad to think about the flood Damage to those towns. So where are you going next? We are planning 2.5 weeks in the Cote d'azur next June.

Hi Winnick, actually we're just back from our 'next' trip, a week in Noosa Heads, Queensland. A very nice short break - from what I'm not sure, as we are retired - enjoying some sunshine and a lovely pool.
We have a UK trip planned for April/May 2012. We have organised a home exchange with a couple from Edinburgh and will spend 4 weeks there before flying to LHR for another 5 weeks in England - a week in each of Falmouth, Glastonbury, Ross-on-Wye, Broadway, and London.
(Always) Looking forward to the next trip.

You are lucky travelers to be able to spend lots of time in a country. And you seem to make the most of it. This was a lovely trip report, most interesting to read thru and reminisce about France and Paris. Many thanks.
