Hi Everyone,

I just went on trenitalia and am wondering if i qualify for the SMART fare and what is the difference between SMART 1 and 2 ?

For the train trip from Venice to Zurich, SMART 1 cost 44.2 EUR but SMART 2 costs 54.2 EUR.

Can anyone help ? I am not an italian citizen and do not hold any italian train cards . So do i still qualify for SMART fares ?

Discounted ticket sold by availability. Smart 1 is sold out, you move to Smart 2. If available, anyone can buy them. For all the detail, on trenitalia site just enter SMART in the search box.

TM is correct. Smart 1 is the bigger discount. That's the only difference.
