Trenitalia - no ticketless available on some trains?
I was just on the website and while I could get all my info and schedule, there was a symbol that said that it could not be purchased. (no price either)
I want to purchase them all using the ticketless method. I tried simple trips like Bologna to Roma when my Bologna to Venafro wouldn't come up - still no choice to purchase tickets.
Just a little glitch in the system today or am I missing something?

On many local trains, you cannot reserve a seat, so there is no ticketless option. You just buy a ticket at the station (or, for short journeys, from a newspaper kiosk) then stamp it in a machine before joining the train. The tickets are valid for two months; once stamped, the journey must be completed within six hours (for short journeys).

Thanks all,
Yup, it was the 60 day thing. I was putting in the actual date (Oct). When I went back and used "today's date" (which was 8/18 by the way) it worked like a charm.
Steve, 88.74 (2 people - 2nd class) was what I got too, but I was hoping for a much lower fare! I guess I'll wait until the special promotions for the fall come out.
Thanks all for the prompt and helpful info,
Carol
