Travelling to London...
In 28 th February I'll travel from Lisbon to London with my husband and my 3 kids (2, 5 and 10 years). Can you help me choose the best way to get from Heathrow to the Hotel in Sussex Gardens - Marble Arch?
If you know good ideas for kids please tell me...

Take the Heathrow Express Train to Paddington, which is very close to Marble Arch. Tickets are c.£12. Take a black cab from Paddington to your hotel.
Although as there are 5 of you, it may be almost as cheap to take a cab from Heathrow, which would cost about £45 (unless you arrive in the rush hour 07:30-09:30, in which case it could cost a lot more).
I suggest you check out ticket prices when you get to Heathrow and make a decision then.
A cheaper option would be to take the tube, but you would have to make changes so with kids and luggage (and crowds of tourists!) this could be a nightmare. And of course it takes a lot longer.

This subject gets lots of coverage and with 5 people there is no way I'd consider any sort of train/public transportation! It would be cheaper to hire a driver pick up service (let them know you need a minivan or station wagon tho, because you all won't fit in a car with your luggage). Check on line (www.chauffeu.uk.co or Londontransport, etc.) They meet you outside of immigration and take you right to your hotel door - no dinking around with dragging luggage and kids on and off trains!! Jet lag will be a factor and the smaller kids may be a bit cranky so I think it's a better option for you. We always use these services and they cost about 35 pounds for a car so they will be more for a minivan but considering what you would pay for the Paddington Express and then a cab would will be better off. A regular (black cab) from Heathrow would be more expensive than a pick up service and if you are caught in traffic the rate climbs as you sit there. (Flat fee with the service). Don't even consider the tube with luggage and kids!!
