I don't think I said that Vietnam was a facsimile of Paris Blueeyedcod. Whilst I referenced the French colonial feel of Hanoi [whcih I thought was rather fab] I also mentioned a range of other aspects of Vietnam that are patently not to be seen anywhere near Paris.
Having been to all three I also don't think it is at all the same as either Thailand or Bali which the poster said she had already visited, albeit I would agree it is on the same continent. Sounds a bit like saying don't bother to go to Rome or Prague if you have been to London because they are all in Europe.

Well, there is a reason for the 20 names, suze, though as you say, no GOOD reason. One name for each time a person is officially thrown off the site, and must register with a new one. I know I cross the line occasionally and immediately regret it, but so far apparently not so egregiously that I'm disappeared.

Ahh, and that is why my husband and I take separate vacations once a year. 
No, seriously. We travel together domestically, find pools, relax and then I take the kids somewhere more "international".
But for you.....breweries, etc are sooooo trendy now that there are suggestions all over the internet on brewery tours.
Plan a trip to Belgium, Holland, and Germany and make sure to do a brewery tour in every city. Start off the morning with something more to your tastes and then do an afternoon brewery tour followed by dinner and walk around the town.
He likes tattoos. Google the top tattoo artists in these places and check out their work. Or heck, I know people who have scheduled a new tattoo. Talk about an awesome souvenir from your trip if that's your thing!
I get it totally. I love my hubby, but on the road, we are sooo different. I insist on a work out on vacation, he's sendentary (it's vacation after all). He's not a fine art guy, I was an art history major. I love to stop in bookstores, he's eyeing the pub across the street.
I really would plan to have some alone time. Go to a meeting place, schedule 2 hours on your own all walking distance from your meeting point. Make sure you have working cell phones in case one of you gets lost/concerned, etc.
