traveling in Italian Alps with small child

I am planning a 2 week trip in Italy with my husband and 1 year old son during September of this year. We plan to spend about one week in the Italian Alps region. I would like the vacation to be as relaxing as possible while still be able to see some of the sights (we have never been to Italy before). Do you have suggestions as to hotels/country houses in which to stay? We would prefer if breakfast is included.

What do you mean by the "Italian Alps"? There is actually more than one Alpine area in northern Italy, so can you specify the town or mountains or valley you will be visiting?

We were thinking of the Dolomites. We recently read some very good reviews about Hotel Grones. Any thoughts?

Hi Mael - No personal experience of Hotel Grones, but the resort (- Ortisei) is an excellent choice for Val Gardena and for touring the Dolomites. Really you can't go wrong with Val Gardena as a base.

Hope this helps ...

P.S. Lots of good tips which you might find helpful on the 'Go' family trip report - here's the link:
