Traveling from Milan to Bellagio
We are flying from Paris to Milan and want to travel to Bellagio for a couple days before heading down to CT (Manorola) and then down to Rome. I'm confused as to how we can get to Bellagio from Milan? Is Bus an only option?
Thank you

You are probably flying into Linate in Milan and you
will need to take a shuttle bus to the Milan Centrale rail station and take the train to Varenna, then the ferry a short distance across the lake to Bellagio. We did this a few years ago but flew into Malpensa. You take the Malpensa shuttle to Milan Centrale and do the same. The train from Malpensa does not go to Centrale.

Alternatively, depending on your arrival time, you could hire a car & driver and go up the other side of the lake. It is a beautiful drive.
We used Viaggio Sereno Car Service, a lovely husband and wife team -Noemi & Giuseppe. who were inexpensive, although I don't know if they still do it. They charged a day rate and will pick you up at the airport and tour you around wherever you would like to stop enroute. They know some excellent restaurants for lunch etc.
Talk about hassle free!!
