LOL willit, maybe your credit card and my credit card are related? Thanks for the chuckle.

Regarding trips, right at this moment I am not in the position to plan anything for sure as there are some things that have to be taken care before I go anywhere. But I have had so many beautiful invitations my head is spinning.

I love reading everyones plans, most interesting and varied.

Our first trip to Europe 7 weeks in 2007, our 30th wedding anniversary present to ourselves.
Amsterdam, Denmark, London, Norway (round trip on Hurtigruten) finishing with 2 weeks in Switzerland.

Then when the finances are recovered in a year or two we will plan Canada. Really want to do the Rocky Mountaineer and Alaskan cruise.

May 2006--Our 10th anniversary trip, either to France (Paris & the Auvergne region, inspired by AnselmAdorne's first-rate trip reports), or, more likely, to Italy (Rome, Pompeii, perhaps Naples).

Nothing much else in the works till 2009.

November 2006: Prague and Berlin--possibly a couple of nights in one other city, maybe Dresden, Leipzig, Erfurt, or Nuernberg/Bamberg. I've purchased some films to get us in the November in Central Europe mood: For Prague I got "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" and "Kolya." For Berlin, "M," "One, Two, Three," and "The Spy Who Came in from the Cold."

June 2007: Hoping for Indonesia. Guess I need to get a DVD of "The Year of Living Dangerously." Possibly Japan instead. I hate the heat, but with Mrs. Fly's teaching job it's pretty much the summer or nothing for trips longer than 10 days.

Somewhere near the top of our travel list are Chile/Argentina, Ireland, Cambodia/Vietnam, and various Baltic states.

June 2007 - Germany and Switzerland. Daytrips to Salzburg from Berchtesgaden.

Thanks to many here, the planning is much more coherent and sensible.

October: large mountain cabin with husband, family, and friends. Fall festivals and foliage. Private lake for the kids to fish in.

November: a week in Paris on my own (by choice). Rented studio apartment. Tickets to concerts, one on my birthday night, already arranged.

February: back to the mountains, just husband and me, for a week in smaller, cozier cabin, hoping for snow. Well, really, hoping to get totally snowed in with him.

We have already had some great travels this year, but coming up are

August: the New Jersey shore for a long weekend

September: Washington DC for a long weekend and concert at Kennedy Center

Everything else is a possibility, but very likely we will go to New York again for Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas (one; not all three).

We are in the midst of booking the French and Italian Rivieras for May/June 2007.

And if we are really lucky, maybe a winter getaway to Rome. Ah, wouldn't it be nice?

Bob, New Zealand is incredible! We hope to go back in the not-too-distant future.

The only trip we're planning right now is to England and Wales for our 25th anniversary in 2007.

TRSW - you have a superb trip coming along!

I've had a wonderful year so far, with 1 week in Rome and 8 days in France - Paris, Grenoble and Annecy.

Next is late September-mid October 2006 - 2 weeks in Italy: Turin, Bologna and Rome. Just over 2 months to wait, I'm very much looking forward to this trip.

Then probably April 2007, destinations are likely to be Lisbon for a week then Paris for 3 days.

After that, mabye August or September 2007 - a trip to Scandinavia with my mother. Stockholm for sure (have to get back there, it's superb) then perhaps some other places in Sweden, Norway or Denmark.

Was already this year in California, Las Vegas, New York, Istanbul and Brazil.

Future trips:

October 2006 - Goa and London

2007 (still planning):

March - Vietnam

July - Kenya safari and Zanzibar beach

November - India or China

In the middle of it still have to find a weekend getaway in Amsterdam.

Happy Travels everyone!
