You'll need to do more than hope to get a train from Marseilles to Menerbes. Hasn't been a train through Menerbes in at least 1,000 years and don't expect any anytime soon. Closest you'll get is Isle-Sur-la-Sorgue (though that means transferring in Avignon). You could also attempt to bus it from Marseilles to Coustellet or Apt - but that isn't easy either.
Think about renting a car, you'll need one anyway in the Luberon. Or get a taxi if you have lots of money to spend...

YOu won't find train stations in those small towns/villages in Provence. It's not too bad a drive from that airport, if you plan to rent a car anyway (maybe an hour). If you don't plan to rent a car, are you sure you know what you have gotten yourself into? Staying in a small town in Provence without a car isn't the best idea.
I think Cavaillon is the closest train station. There are some direct trains from Marseille to Cavaillon (TER regional trains) and it takes about 1:20. There appears to be one around 12:18 pm and 15:46 pm, for example. Menerbes is only 16 km from Cavaillon, but 90 km from Marseille, so that would save a bundle.
